MSOM’s nondiscrimination policy and grievance procedures
Title IX
MSOM does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates, as required by Title IX and its regulations, including in admission and employment.
All members of the MSOM community should be aware that the school is concerned about discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and is prepared to act to prevent and correct such behavior. Individuals who engage in such behavior are subject to discipline, up to and including termination or dismissal/expulsion. The SOM considers discrimination, harassment in all its forms, and retaliation to be a serious offense. These types of conduct create exposure and liability for the MSOM and the individual. Retaliation against a person who reports, complains about, or participates in the investigation of discrimination and/or harassment is also prohibited.
Any person may report sex discrimination or sex-based harassment at any time, including during non-business hours, by using the telephone number or e-mail address of either MSOM’s Title IX Coordinator, through the Compliance Hotline or by mail to the office address:

Pregnancy and Related Conditions
MSOM is committed to supporting pregnant and parenting to students by providing reasonable and appropriate accommodations. Title IX prohibits discrimination against a student or employee based on pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy, lactation, and medical conditions related to these conditions. MSOM cannot exclude a pregnant student from participating in its educational programs and must offer reasonable accommodations, to include but are not limited to:
- MSOM must excuse a student’s absences due to pregnancy or childbirth as long as the student’s doctor deems them medically necessary.
- When students return to school, they must be allowed to return to the same academic and extracurricular status as before their medical leave began, as MSOM operations allow and are available.
- Any special services provided to students with temporary medical conditions must also be provided to a pregnant student.
- Privacy space for lactation accommodations.
If you are a student interested in learning about your Title IX rights as a pregnant or parenting student, you can schedule a meeting with the Title IX Coordinator.
