A Brand New State of the Art Facility
MSOM's academic facilities reside in the brand new 200,000 square foot D.M. Bowman Academic Hall.
The building is just steps away from the Meritus Medical Center Hospital and the Robinwood Medical Office Building. It is also just a short walk from the Meritus Commons student housing complex.
The building's location on the campus of one of Maryland's busiest trauma centers means that students will truly be learning in a real clinical setting from the first day of classes and onward. We believe the opportunities to learn from residents, faculty, and community mentors are greatest in this type of setting.

The Simulation Center
At 40,000 square feet, the MSOM simulation center is among the nation's largest medical simulation learning environments. Some of our features include
- 20 simulation exam rooms
- 4 hospital/operating rooms
- A dedicated VR lab
- An 8-table gross anatomy lab
- Over 2000 square feet of part task training space
- A spacious OMM lab with room for over 50 exam tables
The Fitness Center
Bowman Hall features a fitness center so students can incorporate physical wellness into their day. The center has second-floor views of the medical center campus and features a variety of equipment.

- Medium-duty resistance trainers
There are commercial fitness centers within walking distance of the school, as well, for students who need access to even more space and equipment.
Cafeteria
Our first floor features a dining hall with fresh food prepared onsite daily. With plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space, you'll enjoy taking advantage of the convenience of on-campus meal options.
If you prefer to take a walk down Robinwood Drive, there are several great restaurants within a very short walking distance (less than half-mile) from Bowman Hall.
