Clinical Affiliates and Rotations

We are proud to be partnering with the following health care institutions for clinical rotations: 

Maryland Locations:

  • Meritus Medical Center: Meritus Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Hagerstown, Maryland with more than 300 beds, along with the most advanced technologies available. Services include a special care nursery, a level III trauma program, a primary stroke center, and a wound center, as well as a cardiac diagnostic laboratory. Other hospital services that address outpatient needs are the John R. Marsh Cancer Center, Meritus Physical Therapy and the Center for Clinical Research. State-of-the-art medical technologies at Meritus Medical Center include advanced 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), single-photo-emission computed tomography (SPECT) scanners, daVinci and ROSA surgical robots and cardiac interventions.
  • Atlantic General Hospital: Atlantic General is an independent not-for-profit health system, includes a 62-bed hospital as well as a network of more than 40 primary care providers and specialists across 17 locations in the region.  Recognized by the Chartis group in both 2021 and 2022 as a top 100 rural and community hospital in the nation, Atlantic General has an emphasis on improving care in their community.  They have additionally been recognized for six consecutive years as a “Most Wired” hospital for exceptional technology and IT.  Within their priorities are a community focus, combining old-fashioned personal attention with cutting-edge technology for an overall standard of excellence in healthcare.
  • Carroll Hospital: Carroll Hospital is the heart of its tight-knit community, serving the people of Carroll County for more than five decades. It has grown from a one-building hospital to a true medical center that offers a full complement of care, with specialties including minimally invasive surgery and a state-of-the-art cancer center. The 168-bed nonprofit hospital is known for offering the highest quality care with warmth and compassion. Since joining LifeBridge Health in 2015, Carroll Hospital has expanded in many areas including cardiovascular, women's health and pediatric outpatient services.
  • Calvert Health: Calvert Health has been a trusted pillar of good health and well-being for more than a century in Southern Maryland. Along the way, the system has grown, evolved and expanded services. CalvertHealth's mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of all those we serve. Inside its medical center and outpatient practices, and out in our community, the organization remains dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, collaborating to meet the needs of our community through innovative treatments, state-of-the-art facilities and a team of skilled and caring professionals. 
  • Holy Cross Health: Holy Cross Health is a Catholic, not-for-profit health system that serves the two most populous counties in Maryland, Montgomery and Prince George’s, with a commitment to being the most trusted provider of health-care services in the area. Founded in 1963 by the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Holy Cross Health is a member of Trinity Health of Livonia, Michigan. Holy Cross Hospital, in Silver Spring, is one of the largest hospitals in Maryland, and Holy Cross Germantown Hospital is the first hospital in the nation built on a community college campus, enhanced by an educational partnership. The Holy Cross Health Network operates primary-care practices and affordable health centers, and offers a wide range of innovative, community-based health and wellness programs. 
  • Brook Lane: Brook Lane is a non-profit mental health facility with more than 500 employees in four locations. The main campus in Hagerstown is home to a 58-bed hospital, the second largest private mental health inpatient facility in the state of Maryland. Brook Lane provides partial hospitalization (a day treatment program) for both adults and children on the main campus. Brook Lane's Laurel Hall special education school has two locations: one on the main campus and one in Frederick. All locations have licensed clinical staff who offer therapy for all ages. Brook Lane's THRIVE program for children is located in the North Village Outpatient offices. The InSTEP program at North Village provides level 1 outpatient treatment and level 2.1 intensive outpatient treatment options for substance use.
  • Tidal Health: Tidal Health serves the Salisbury and Wicomico County community. The main campus is home to the approximately 300 bed hospital, serving nearly 500,000 patients every year in a multitude of specialties. Close to 2,000 babies are born at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional every year. There are approximately 3,300 employees, placing it among Salisbury's largest employers.
  • Johns Hopkins Community Physicians: Part of the Johns Hopkins Community Physicians group, Johns Hopkins Community Physicians Hagerstown provides family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and pediatric cardiology services to patients in Hagerstown and Washington County. With more than 14 providers this thriving community practice cares for patients of all ages.
  • Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC): Since its founding in 1965, GBMC HealthCare’s accomplishments have validated the vision of GBMC’s founders to combine the best of community and university-level medicine. GBMC’s main campus, situated in a suburban setting, also includes three medical office buildings — Physicians Pavilion East, Physicians Pavilion West and the William E. Kahlert Physicians Pavilion North. In addition to its main campus located in Towson, GBMC Health Partners, a collective of more than 300 primary care providers, specialists, advanced practice clinicians, can be found throughout the community with extended and weekend hours. Gilchrist is a nationally recognized, non-profit leader in serious illness and end of life care, providing medical care, counseling and support to patients and their families at every stage of serious illness, even well before hospice is needed. Gilchrist serves more than 7,600 patients each year—in homes, residential care communities and other medical settings, and at our three inpatient hospice centers in Towson, Howard County and Baltimore. In addition, Gilchrist provides grief counseling and other bereavement services to 6,500 families throughout central Maryland. 
  • UPMC Western Maryland: The UPMC Western Maryland facility is a 165-bed hospital in Cumberland, Maryland, and provides healthcare services for residents in Allegany and Garrett Counties in Maryland and surrounding counties in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. It is part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) system. It has been recognized in 2024 as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery Award™, Cardiac Surgery Excellence Award™, and several others.  

Pennsylvania Locations:

  • Fulton County Medical Center: FCMC is a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation that owns and operates a 21-bed critical access hospital, level IV trauma center, and 67-bed skilled nursing care facility. Founded in 1949, FCMC is located at 214 Peach Orchard, McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania.  FCMC has an active medical staff of nearly 100 physicians, over 400 employees, and 60 active volunteers.
  • Keystone Health: In 1986, Joanne Cochran, Keystone’s President and CEO, co-founded the center to provide health care to the migrant agricultural workers in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Today, Keystone Health has more than 540 employees and sees over 59,000 patients annually. Keystone Health is the only federally-qualified Community Health Center serving Franklin County.

West Virginia Location:

  • VA Martinsburg: The VA Martinsburg Healthcare System, under the support of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, has a catchment of more than 70,000 Veterans living in 22counties in western Maryland, southern central Pennsylvania, northwest Virginia, and West Virginia. The MVAMC hospital, located on the main campus, is a 475-bed Level 1C facility with approximately 2,000 admissions and nearly 400,000 outpatients visits annually. The MVAMC is one of the largest Community Living Centers in the VA Health System, as well as one of the largest Domiciliary programs in the country with over 200 beds. The Domiciliary helps Veterans on their recovery journey through residential treatment programs for rehabilitation, health maintenance and community support. The system additionally services 8 locations across western Maryland, south central Pennsylvania, and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Their vision is to be a trusted and resilient partner for Veterans, offering readily available, safe and compassionate care of exceptional quality within an integrated system.
