The Revd. Dr. D. Stuart Dunnan is presently the headmaster of Saint James School, in Saint James, Maryland. A 160-year-old coeducational boarding school affiliated with the Episcopal Church, Saint James enrolls 220 students (20 in the 8th grade, and 200 in the Upper School). Father Dunnan has been headmaster for ten years. During this time, the school has grown and developed its campus substantially, and Saint James has established itself as a smaller and more traditional choice amongst the better boarding schools in America.

A native of Washington, D.C., Father Dunnan attended Beauvoir and St. Albans schools, graduating from St. Albans cum laude in l977. He then attended Harvard University where he earned an A.B. magna cum laude and an A.M. in l981, both in Modern European History. He taught history and served as college counselor at the Harvard School (now Harvard-Westlake) in Los Angeles, California from l981-l983, leaving to study for the priesthood at Oxford University in England. At Oxford, he studied theology at Christ Church College, earning a second B.A. in theology and returning to study pastoral theology at the General Seminary in New York City in l985. After a year at General, he earned a Certificate in Anglican Studies and returned to Los Angeles to serve as chaplain and history teacher at Harvard School for the academic year l986-87. During this year, he was ordained to the diaconate and to the priesthood.

In the fall of l987, Father Dunnan returned to Oxford to study for his D.Phil. in English Reformation Theology. While at Oxford, he served on the Chapter of Pusey House until January of l990 when he was elected chaplain and junior research fellow in history at Lincoln College. He proceeded M.A. in theology in May of l990 and earned his D.Phil. in November of l99l. His dissertation was titled The Preaching of Hugh Latimer: a Reappraisal. In July of l992, he returned to Maryland to serve as headmaster of Saint James.

Father Dunnan is presently a member of the Board of Trustees of Drew University, Meritus Medical Center, Family Heritage Trust Company and several other boards as well. He was also elected to the Headmasters Association in 2004. He has published several essays in independent school and academic publications, and two volumes of his essays and sermons were published in 2002 and 2009.

Dr. Hendrix is Shepherd University’s sixteenth president and is the first graduate to lead the school in its history. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Shepherd in pre-med/biology and her PhD from George Washington University in anatomy. Subsequently, she was a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School in the department of anatomy and cell biology.

Dr. Hendrix has been a member of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Council of Councils, the National Human Genome Research Institute Council, and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Board of Scientific Advisors. She is a Past-President of FASEB (Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology) consisting of more than 130,000 members—the largest coalition of biomedical research societies in the United States. She has testified before Congress numerous times in hearings regarding the budgets of the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and National Science Foundation, and about human embryonic stem cell research. She also served as a co-founder and co-director of the Virtual Naval Hospital, a digital medical library created to provide critical information to service personnel deployed at remote sites, which was adopted by the navies of four countries.

Dr. Hendrix became a leading scientist in cancer research, with a goal of discovering new therapeutic strategies to inhibit metastasis. She has authored more than 280 publications on biomedical research and is the recipient of numerous awards. She has fifteen patents related to the treatment of cancer, and these patents were recently licensed to a pharmaceutical company.

Chintamaneni Choudari, MD, is an experienced board-certified gastroenterologist at Hagerstown Gastroenterology. At the practice in Hagerstown, Maryland, he offers state-of-the-art treatment and care using the most recent advances in clinical research.

After earning his Doctor of Medicine in India, he moved to the United Kingdom. He was trained in Internal Medicine in London, Liverpool, and Birmingham and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). He was trained in gastroenterology at The University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

He then relocated to the United States to complete his requirements in Internal Medicine at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his GI fellowship requirements and training at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

Dedicated to his profession, Dr. Choudari is licensed to practice medicine in Maryland, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. He’s also a professional member of the American College of Physicians and is affiliated with Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, as well as Western Regional Medical Center in Cumberland, Maryland.

Theodore R. Delbridge, MD, MPH, FACEP, FAEMS, is the Executive Director of MIEMSS, the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS). Dr. Delbridge is a board-certified Emergency Physician with a 27-year clinical background in the practice of emergency medicine. Dr. Delbridge is experienced in all aspects of EMS including EMS medical and aero-medical direction, education, quality improvement, and research. Previously from 2006 to 2019, Dr. Delbridge was the Chair of Emergency Medicine at East Carolina University.

MIEMSS is the state agency responsible for the coordination of Maryland’s state-wide EMS system. This includes planning, operations, evaluation, and research. In addition, MIEMSS provides leadership and medical direction, conducts and supports EMS educational programs, operates and maintains a statewide communications system, designates trauma and specialty centers, licenses and regulates commercial ambulance services, and participates in EMS-related public education and prevention programs.

Dr. Giffi earned her medical degree from University of Maryland in Baltimore, Md., where she also completed her residency. She completed a fellowship at the Marlene & Stewart Greenbaum Cancer Center in Baltimore. Dr. Giffi is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

JoAnna Jackson is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who will be a part of the Secret Service. Previously she was the Interim Chair for Specialty Care at California Health Sciences University and previously was a part of the White House medical team. A lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force, she was deployed as a member of a tactical critical care evacuation team to Afghanistan and then assigned to an Air Force special operations unit and deployed to Iraq. She is a graduate of the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

Neil Jesuele has had a 45-year career in the healthcare and consumer packaged goods industries. For the majority of that time he held executive positions with Johnson & Johnson and the American Hospital Association operating in the for profit and not-for-profit sectors.

He has had extensive experience in multiple disciplines and management environments spanning market research, business development, strategic planning and general management including nearly two decades as the AHA Executive Vice President of Leadership and Business Development and President of its For-Profit Subsidiaries, Health Forum and AHA Services, Inc. In this capacity, he oversaw the development and growth of numerous companies, divisions and initiatives focused on governance (AHA Center for Healthcare Governance), quality and performance improvement (AHA Quality Center), health information technology (National Alliance for Health Information Technology), health services research (Health Research and Education Trust), data, publishing and education (Health Forum, Inc), finance (co-founder of the Not-For-Profit Healthcare Investor Conference) and diversity and inclusion (Institute for Diversity) along with bringing Baldrige principles to AHA’s work processes. He was also responsible for AHA’s shared services including IT and Finance. His earliest responsibilities were to reorganize and manage AHA Member Relations and develop the first AHA strategic plan and consolidated business plan.

At Johnson & Johnson he was a Vice President responsible for market development and strategic planning for J&J Hospital Services (now J&J Health Systems) which included working with numerous subsidiary companies and J&J corporate and was instrumental in the seminal development of the J&J Business Development Council.

He has served on the Boards of the William and Mary Annual Fund, National Alliance for Health Information Technology, Health Forum, AHA Solutions, AHA Service, AHA Center for Healthcare Governance, The Institute for Diversity and was the senior AHA executive for governance committees--AHA Operations, Audit, Investment and Benefits.

He presently operates Future Healthcare Consulting, LLC and serves as Chief Strategy Officer for HumanityCorp, a public benefit impact investment company. He also serves on the board of directors of Bioscape Digital, Inc., a patient engagement technology business and Proton Therapy Partners while serving in an advisory capacity for AVIA Health, a digital transformation company and Pivot Health Advisors. He is also one of the principals of DroneVideos.com and J&J Studios.

He holds a BA in Finance and Marketing and Masters in Business Administration.

Maulik Joshi serves as the president and CEO for Meritus Health and President of the Proposed Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Prior to serving at Meritus Health, Dr. Joshi was the executive vice president of integrated care delivery and chief operating officer for the Anne Arundel Health System, a regional health system headquartered in Annapolis, Md., that serves an area of more than 1.2 million people. Previously, Dr. Joshi served as the associate executive vice president at the American Hospital Association and president of the Health Research & Educational Trust. He has also served as senior advisor at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, president and CEO of the Delmarva Foundation, vice president at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, senior director of quality for the University of Pennsylvania Health System and executive vice president for The HMO Group.

Dr. Joshi has a doctorate in public health, a master’s in health services administration, both from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Lafayette College. He was editor-in-chief for the Journal for Healthcare Quality. He also co-edited The Healthcare Quality Book: Vision, Strategy and Tools (fifth edition to be released in 2022, with more than 32,000 copies sold) and co[1]authored Healthcare Transformation: A Guide for the Hospital Board Member and Leading Healthcare Transformation: A Primer for Clinical Leaders. Dr. Joshi is adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan School of Public Health in the department of health management and policy and annually teaches a course in their executive master’s program. Dr. Joshi has served on numerous not-for-profit boards within and outside of health care, including most recently as a governor-appointed commissioner on the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission.

Mr. Snook is a lifelong resident of Washington County, and is very active in the community. He is President and CEO for the Washington County Industrial Foundation. He currently is Vice Chairman of the Meritus Medical Center Board of Trustees, the Columbia Bank Board of Directors, Washington County Free Library Board of Trustees, and the Washington County Board of Education Ethics Board. He is a member of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Antietam Exchange Club, and the Maryland State Roads Commission. Additionally, Mr. Snook served as President of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County from 1990-2006.

Mr. Snook was originally appointed to the Hagerstown Community College Board of Trustees on July 1, 2007, and has been re-appointed for subsequent six-year terms. Throughout his service, he has served as Vice-Chair for two years, and Chair for three years, having been newly re-elected as Chair for FY15.

Former Washington County Commissioners President Greg Snook continues to wield broad influence in the community, mainly as president and CEO of the Hagerstown-Washington County Industrial Foundation (CHIEF). But he also serves on the boards of Hagerstown Community College, Meritus Medical Center, the Washington County Free Library and several other organizations. He also serves on the Maryland State Roads Commission.
