MSOM believes that embracing diversity enriches our community and enhances the learning experience. We value and celebrate the unique perspectives, backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences that each individual brings. The principles of our values align directly with the mission of the Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (HEDI) Office, which aims to foster a culture of inclusiveness and diversity among students, faculty, and staff and to provide a safe and supportive learning environment. You belong at MSOM.
The four values that embody MSOM create the acronym IACT, listed below:
I – Inclusiveness and Diversity are fostered in our culture.

C – Caring for the community through social responsibility and community orientation.
T – Thought leadership innovative insights and engaging one-another in expressing our expertise in medicine, humanity, and community.
